PIC Flights – Pilot in Command
One of the requirements for airline pilot candidates to begin commercial flight training is to complete a total of 100 flight hours as Pilot in Command (PIC). Out of these, 12 hours must be flown as experience within the Private Pilot License (PPL) training. The candidate is responsible for completing the remaining 88 hours through aircraft rental.
This training is crucial for developing the necessary skills and experience for handling varying flight conditions and scenarios, preparing pilot candidates for the responsibilities they will face in commercial aviation.
By accumulating the required flight hours, candidates will gain invaluable hands-on experience that will enhance their confidence and competence as pilots.
